The 'M' Resort Buffet (Called Studio B) Is 'The Best Buffet in Vegas' According to Many Locals

This hotel and this all you can eat restaurant offer just about everything you would ever need on vacation; some say it caters to a more adult and mature crowd who come to town to enjoy not only gambling but also being pampered. Thus, this buffet and overall resort is for those who do not enjoy being surrounded by young loud crowds 'under the influence' all the time: it's classy, it's 'mature', it really tries to allure you.

This place is only disadvantaged because of its location; being South of the Strip, it requires about 20 minutes to get here from any of the strip hotels by cab or, if you drive yourself, perhaps a little less. This hotel does offer shuttles to the Strip, but if you are staying centrally and just wish to visit this great hotel for its casino fun or its great buffet, it will be a struggle to get there, unless of course you are driving. If you are not driving you can get here by bus, but most people will understandably prefer to stay closer or go somewhere they can get to more easily. However, those who do go (including a large number of locals) do speak very well of this all you can eat restaurant.

First of all, because of the reasons explained above it is not your typically crowded 'all you can eat' restaurant where you have to line up for so long that, when you actually get to a table, you usually need a bed rather than food. Here you don't have to wait long at all and the atmosphere is, overall, a lot more relaxed. It is nicely decorated and many say it has an 'upscale' feel to it: very spacious, open and inviting throughout, with modern touches such as giant LCD screens with food-related shows.

Amongst the meals everybody loves here you will find its seafood options, which many say are the very best in Sin City (especially considering the affordable price compared to any good quality seafood feasts). Juicy, tender, delicious warm and cold crab legs (whichever you prefer you'll be delighted) is often described as absolutely the best.

The atmosphere is described as top class, unlike in many other all-you-can-eat restaurants; its members of staff are, according to pretty much everybody who visits, particularly kind and friendly as well as helpful and attentive.

The selection of the food here is very good and there seem to be many recommended dishes, such as prime rib, shrimp cocktail, very tasty French fries, cold Japanese tofu salad, a decent sushi station. Pretty much every visitor is thrilled by the dessert section of this restaurant, which is varied as well as good quality; amongst the very favourites are the gelato and all the miniature desserts (such as crème brûlées, pistachio crème mini cakes, tiramisu, chocolate cream puddings).

If you apply for their players club you will be offered a free all you can eat visit here, at least for now. You may wish to check this by phone before the journey to this place but, if it's still the case by the time you are in Sin City, it will be worth it.

All in all, this is actually considered one of the best all you can eat restaurants in this city and it is recommended by a large number of locals; not to be missed if you are already in the area or if it's easy for you to get to this area.

Birthday child happy first anniversary and Gelato

Edit: Sorry ice cream birthday was a week ago, and has no time to put this! I must admit that I never understood why anyone should weep for their pets, not until I met Ice Cream! Ice Cream Before, it was just another sign of laboratory (sorry, I worked in a lab too). However, when I brought home .... this little ball of fur I need both. It 'nice to be needed and know that simple things like rub behind the ear or just a little' treat that makes them so happy. In return you get asa pure form of love without malice or reason behind it. I like knowing that when I'm stressed at work, Gelato is sitting right under the chair I'm sitting. Whatever the living room, jumps on it. I like to embrace my little friends and especially my little friend. I think it's a little 'too active also be a rabbit, except when they are unnecessary and take a nap.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

The weather's certainly heating up with Sydney temperatures coming up to the 30s and 40s this month. When it comes to sweet treats, nothing is as universally popular as ice cream. Fortunately, the ice cream industry has risen to meet the demand with hundreds of flavours, twice as many toppings and plenty of new varieties and brands to try. There are plenty of creative, fun, and inventive ways to enjoy your favourite treat beyond the traditional cup or cone. Here are some of our favourite ice cream varieties on offer in the local area:
Ben & Jerry's
The successful American franchise opened its first Australian stores in Sydney in 2009. Ben & Jerry's built its success out of delicious and unique ice cream flavours alongside socially responsible business practices. The company continues its practice of giving back to the community in Australia. Its many delicious franchise locations in Sydney include the Broadway Shopping Centre, Chadstone Shopping Centres, and on the Pacific Motorway.
Cold Rock
An ice cream business that takes seriously the policy "The customer is always right" is Cold Rock Ice Cream. Love mint choc chip with, blackberries and peanut butter chocolate - then that's the combo they'll make. Each location features a variety of flavours, fillings, and toppings that can be mixed and matched to create a number of outrageous custom blends. Cold Rock customers simply pick the size they want, select their flavours of ice cream or sorbet and their choices of fillings from several types of chocolates, lollies, fruits, biscuits, or nuts. Workers then mix the items for a unique flavour combination that can truly be out of this world.
Gelato
This delicious Italian take on classic ice cream has become a favourite staple summer treat throughout Australia. There are a variety of brands and stores to choose from, but two of the most chains in Sydney are the Gelatissimo franchise and Casa Del Gelato in Sydney. Gelatissimo has several branches throughout Australia and promotes quality by creating fresh product in their stores daily. Casa Del Gelato has been offered Awards from the Dairy Industry Association of Australia for five consecutive years.
Drumsticks, Eskimo Pies and Paddle Pops
When it comes to supermarket treats, there's nothing like some of these iconic ice cream treats. Keep em in your freezer for a delightful treat you can enjoy any time of the year!
Some of your favourite ice cream shoppes are coming on board with great deals on your favourite scoop. Check out cudo.com.au and their latest deal of the day, many local shops and ice cream franchises are jumping on board with some deliciously tantalising offers.

Top 10 Money Saving Tips In Rome

Once upon a time there was a wonderful currency called the lira. It made millionaires out of paupers and assured a cheap and cheerful stay in the Eternal City. Then came along the sinister Euro and evil exchange rates, and suddenly Rome became comparable to London and New York in terms of prices.
However, there do remain some traces of the ‘old’ Rome and, if you know how, you can have a great value stay in one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world.
1) Hallowed be thy Euro
Rome is brimming with churches which secretly house  stunning works by world-famous artists. From Michelangelo and Bernini at St Peter’s Basilica to Caravaggio and Raphael at Santa Maria del Popolo, churches offer a great way to get yourself some free culture.
2) Timing is everything
Try to coincide with Rome’s cultural week (in 2009 it is18-26 April) and you can visit any state run monument or museum for free! Alas, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel don’t count but if you head there early on the last Sunday of the month you can wander completely gratis (but prepare yourself for some truly spectacular crowds).
3) When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie......
If you’re searching for a good value lunch option look no further than one of the city’s many ‘pizza al taglio’ shops. Huge trays of pizza with a wide array of toppings sold by weight. Pick out your favourites, head to a nearby bench or park and enjoy a cheap and tasty 'al fresco' lunch.
4) Get outta town
If you want a break from the tourist crowds hop on a train and take a trip to one of the enticing areas outside the city. In just 30 minutes you could be taking a stroll by the beach in Ostia or sampling the local wine in Frascati. The little towns of Lazio will give you a great value glimpse of the real Italy.
5) Take a hike
Just walking around the city is  a great way to get a sense of Rome. Many monuments such as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps cost nothing and are always open.  Who knows which other secrets you might stumble across while getting lost in the back streets? (remember to take a map though!)
6) When in Rome, do as the Romans do
Hotels in Rome are notoriously expensive and often not the most economic option for groups or families. Why not get a real taste of the lifestyle and rent an apartment? Leisure in Rome (www.leisureinrome.com) has a great range of properties all over the city which start from as little as €100 per night.
7) Sample the local produce
Italy is famous for its food so take on a DIY attitude and go grocery shopping! Head to a fruit and vegetable and stock up on interesting salads and succulent fruits. Then find the nearest ‘alimentari’ or supermarket and pick out some local meats and cheeses. After all that effort you will definitely deserve a gelato for dessert.
8) Aperitivo baby!
A relatively new social event in the city, the ‘aperitivo’ can be found in many of the capital’s bars and pubs around 6-7pm. Order a drink (usually €6-10) and help yourself to the wonderous selection of free nibbles laid out on the bar. A kind of Italian tapas which, if done well, can save you the cost of dinner.
9) Water, water, everywhere.....
There is a water fountain on every street corner which is perfectly safe to drink and lovely and cold. Simply buying one bottle and then filling up at the fountains is a fantastic way to save those precious centesimi.

10) Wander the alleyways

We all know how lovely it is to have pizza overlooking the Colosseum or gnocchi by the light of Piazza Navona but how much lovelier it is to find that quaint backstreet trattoria where grandpa brings you rough wine in jugs and mamma is kneading pasta in the kitchen. Few places like this still exist in Rome but the best way to get a great dinner at a great price is to wander off the beaten path. Tourist attractions do indeed attract tourists and you’ll pay through the nose for a sub-standard meal. Walk a few blocks and follow your instincts instead of opting for the obvious.
Above all, have fun! Rome is a vibrant, noisy, fun-loving city which will surprise you at every turn. Embrace the chaos and you will have a fantastic time.

In a 2-quart heavy saucepan bring milk, cream, and about half of sugar just to a simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove pan from heat and add cocoa powder and chocolate, whisking until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Have ready a large bowl of ice and cold water. In a bowl with an electric mixer beat yolks and remaining sugar until thick and pale. Add hot chocolate mixture in a slow stream, whisking, and pour into saucepan. Cook custard over moderately low heat, stirring constantly, until a thermometer registers 170°F. (Do not let boil. Pour custard through a sieve into a metal bowl set in ice and cold water and cool. Raw Food: the Next Best Alternative to Ice Cream? Easy to Make Homemade Sorbet. (fresh Fruits)

Probably one of the best desserts you can eat yet is tremendously good for you is Sorbet. It is a frozen dessert made from iced fruit puree and any other ingredient you would like to add for a light dessert.  It is sort of a gelato that has no milk in it so is very good for lactose free individuals or milk allergies.  Some sorbets contain alcohol that lowers the freezing temperature and makes it slightly softer.  It is very dense and flavorful, matching ice cream for quality and taste.  The Villa Dolce, makers of Italian gelato, are one of the best producers of sorbet on the web.
Sorbet has a history behind it that says the Roman Emperor, Nero, invented it during the first century AD.  The story said Nero had runners along the Appian way, passing buckets of snow to the mountains to his banquet hall, where it was mixed with honey and wine.  Other countries also laid claim to the original invention, but the mixture of snow, juice and fruit pulp is delicious.  The French served it traditionally between the starter course and the main course, and is served as a non-fat and vegan alternative to ice cream.
Sorbet is made from water, and fruit puree.  It is an excellent source of Calcium and Vitamin C, and is naturally fat free and low in calories.  They make excellent fruit smoothies and are good for you in health aspects. They would be similar to fruit whips where you put ice, fruit, and some light flavoring in a blender to whip a light and airy, non dairy drink.  Very tasty, natural, and healthy.
